Toronto day 3

We rejoined our Citysightseeing tour on Friday as our ticket covered us for 3 days. Fortunately the weather was fine and so we could be upstairs without the need to hop downstairs because of rain. Unfortunately it was a very hot sun so I spent the time sweltered in my cardigan for protection! Jim got lots of photos.

Captain John's Seafood  (floating restaurant) here for 37 years - this is for sale because the government reckons that it is never going to go to sea and should be subject to property tax!
I like the skyscraper on the right.

The Canadian Bank of Commerce

Strange vehicle Jim saw in Dundas Square.

Jim wasn't!

Entrance to ROM - Royal Ontario Museum.

Casa Loma.

Sculpture called The Audience by Michael Snow - shows fans in various acts of celebration. This sculpture is on the Rogers Centre, home to the Bluejays Baseball team and the Argonauts Ice Hockey team.

This is The Rogers Centre from the harbour. Seemingly it is the first fully retractable domed stadium. When it was opened for the first time it was full to capacity but it rained but it takes 40 minutes to open and close it and it cannot be closed until it is fully retracted so people got a little wet!

Last view of the CN Tower which used to be the tallest tower at 553 metres tall. The Tower of Dubai is now the tallest at 1818 metres. The glass platform, which Jim did not want to try, having tried the Sears in Chicago, seemingly supports the weight of 14 hippos - it could have taken both Jim and me!
