Photos from cruise to Alaska 3 - Glacier Bay

Glacier Bay was the highlight of the cruise. We just looked in awe!

As we entered Glacier Bay the sea was glassy still.
First signs of glaciers.

Ice floes.

Bald eagle on ice floe.

Margerie Glacier

See the blue in the glacier and in the iceberg.

The Great Pacific Glacier looks like rocks because of the debris that comes down on it making it dirty.

Only 2 ships a day are allowed into Glacier Bay. This is the Norlander that seemed to follow us everywhere.

First sight of Lamplugh Glacier known as the blue glacier because the blue colour is so strong.

Jim watching the calving of the Lamplugh Glacier. You can see the huge splash.

The hole left where the cascade/calving had occurred.

Leaving Glacier Bay.
