The Butchart Gardens

This post is especially for Evy who denied herself the pleasure (because her children wanted to do something different), on her last holiday in Vancouver Island, of visiting the beautiful Butchart Gardens. I think that they are the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. The orchid garden in the Botanic Gardens in Singapore was really beautiful but Butchart Gardens are just unbelievable.

The snail pond

The garden was full of tulips. I have never seen such a variety of colours or such a variety of tulips

This is the sunken garden. It is absolutely fantastic!

It was 10.30 and the dew was still on the tulips.

Pink furry tulips!
Red furry tulips!

Orange furry tulips!

Mrs. Butchart's private garden.

And that's only some of the photos. I haven't put in any of the Japanese Garden which also was lovely.

  1. Thanks for that Fionnuala. Did you have to rub it in with so many photos?
