Yesterday Jim decided we would go to the market in Pertuis. In the car park, a lady told us it was in the centre of town but according to my research it was in Place Garcin. When we got to the centre it was crowded but, in fact, it was not a market but un festival des associations where all the associations and groups in the area had stall with information about what they did. At the Tourist Office it was clear that the market was not one we would want to go to. However, it was in Place Garcin and we finally decided for ourselves that it wasn't worth going to. Next stop supermarket and then sussing out the bus station as we will take a bus to Aix en Provence and to Marseilles.
In the afternoon we went to Vitrolles - nothing much there! So we headed on to Cereste which, according to the signs, is in the departement of Les Alpes de Haute-Provence. The journey of 13km felt more like 30km as we slowly wound our way up the mountainside with fantastic views, when the trees allowed, down over the Luberon. When we got there, we turned around and went back the way we came. Lucien's and Christine's car may be small but Jim does not feel it very easy to handle so he was very relieved to get back safely.
No photos for a change!
