Exhausted after a day of extreme sports in the Gorges du Verdon - jumping off cliffs into a lake, sailing, paddle-boating, swimming, cycling, hiking, bungee-jumping and abseiling. And we were only watching!
The Gorges du Verdon are gorgeous - spectacular! It was a heavy day on Jim as he was doing the driving and there were places that were very scary indeed. Between a car that doesn't handle very well and impatient French drivers who insist on passing out at the most dangerous spots, it's no surprise that we both have had several mini heart attacks! However, all is well and we have seen the most spectacular scenery of our trip so far.

It took there a very long time to get the gear on but we were
determined to stay to see what would happen. |

We didn't wait to see if the girl would go down but I presume she did as she had the gear on too. What a way to pass a Saturday morning!

| La Palud-sur-Verdon as we returned from La Route des Cretes, a trip right along the rim of the canyon. Jim called it Cretins route because of the mad French drivers! |
