Oracle, San Manuel; La Encantada; Da Grazia

Yesterday was spent just generally have a look around as we have seen almost all the places we wanted to visit. We had done only one trip north of here (Biosphere 2) so we went north to Oracle - not much to see and the State Park is open only at weekends. Then we went to San Manuel where we had a look at the old mining houses and the new. And then we decided to have a look at La Encantado, Tucson's most upmarket shopping complex. It has a lovely fine food store (AJ's I think) and a nice kitchen good store. I didn't dare look at fashion as a quick peep in Clark's told me that the shoes were really expensive. We had a gelato in Frost Gelato which was nice,

We reckoned we were quite close to Da Grazia so we went back and enjoyed the gallery once again.

We went into the courtyard garden that we had missed the last time. The teenagers who were visiting should have been brought to a fun park rather than an art gallery!

We relaxed in the sun outside when we got back home - a beautiful day! Later we were just saying how unspectacular the sunsets had been when we got these colours!

It's amazing how quickly the sky changes. These photos were in the space of a few minutes. Then, we missed seeing a herd/pack of javelina because it was too dark. They were obviously up at Jerry's water trough as we heard them snuffling and snorting and finally noisily moving away.
