The Royal Vic is shortly to be closed and a new hospital built. It is recognised as Quebec's major transplant centre.










We hopped off and had a brief look around Dorchester Square which was, at one time, a graveyard.





The paving in the square contains a number of crosses like this to acknowledge the people who had been buried there.
The Boer War Memorial. It is the only equestrian statue in Montreal. The horse is not mounted, but restrained.


Lunch called so we went down to the Old Port and dined on a patio. On our way there and back, Jim took some more photos.

This minor Basilica is known for its historic links to the Irish-Canadian community. According to the guide, there are 300,000 citizens of Irish descent in Montreal. It is the oldest English-speaking Roman Catholic Church in Montreal

It was time to leave Montreal and start our 2-3 hour journey to our hotel outside Quebec City - a full day and it wasn't over yet!
