On Tuesday morning we took a
look at the market on Wochenmarkt. There were only a few vegetable
and fruit stalls, some cheese stalls and some meat stalls. But they
all looked great. We did not buy as we are in no need of anything.
Seemingly the best market is on Saturday. We came back home and
struggled with the internet a bit and then went to Seeburger See for
a walk. We were hoping to get a coffee but the restaurant was closed.
We walked into the Seeburg village and it was deadly quiet. There were some cars but no people about. Back in the car we went to Duderstadt. It has some beautiful half timber houses and a beautiful Rathof. The Church we got into was called Basilica St. Cyriakus. It is the youngest basilica in Germany having been elevated to that status in 2015. It was a very impressive Church with huge statues. Lower down in the town was another church but it wasn’t open.

We went into a book shop to try to get some local maps but nobody there had much English. However, they asked a young man (a customer) to help and he was great and we got what we were looking for. We had lunch in Duderstadt and then went on to Ebergotzen and then back home where I struggled once again with the wifi.
